Our Manifest

For over twenty years, we have been committed to the success and professional development of every individual. Aware of the limitations of conventional training models, the need for an organization to continually renew itself, the challenge of implementing change in a sustainable way, but also the individual learner’s reality (time limits, short attention span, accelerated learning needs) we have designed an innovative approach built on behaviour change (see Our Approach) and integrated it in the professional development paths (voir Learning Paths).

We made the important decision of building a new approach to learning and development. Today, we are proud to have contributed to the success of thousands of learners and we continue to expand the learning boundaries every day.

Our Values

Boldness

Guided by a culture that promotes taking on new challenges, at Skillable, we encourage the exchange of ideas and individuals to take initiative. Our quest for excellence drives us to explore new technologies and new ways of doing things.

Commitment

Mindful and caring, we make it our mission to build trusting relationships. The success of organizations and their members is our team’s driving force; a force that outdoes itself every day in anticipation of the needs of all.

Synergy

Guided by a share vision, our strength lies in our team spirit. We foster a creative and fun work environment that promotes personal development. We use our combined team expertise to offer the best possible solutions.

Our Story

...

Our history starts in the classroom where our founder, Benoit Savard, experienced learning difficulties very early on. Affected by a visual impairment, his resilience and desire to succeed drove him to develop his own learning strategies. That resilience, combined with a visceral commitment to helping all individuals change and learn, is at the root of what became the Skillable approach.

1997

The shaping of our approach started early on with onsite trainings. At that time, our team developed, rolled-out, and animated many workshops and training sessions on a variety of topics (sales, customer experience, etc.) to organizations of different sizes and industries.

2005

We made an observation with all our clients; conventional training has its limits: training sessions at the expense of professional activity, a low rate of retention, a limited transfer of newly learnt concepts to the organization, etc. So, can individuals be trained and grow while they are at work?

2009

We fine-tuned our approach to make it more relevant to today’s professionals. 2009 marks the beginning of Benoit Savard’s postgraduate research at the University of Sherbrooke on the identification of the criteria for success in a virtual learning environment at Rio Tinto Alcan. We then implemented an integrated approach in the workplace based on strong guiding principles: microlearning, spaced-out learning, and paced learning.

An approach better adapted to the reality of today's workplace.
